Writing Blog Posts

Writing a post in a blog is not as difficult as writing an article or essay. While articles and essays need stunning prose and argumentative paragraphs, blog posts just need your thoughts. Although articles, essays and blog posts should have the common goal, and that is to achieve a perfect thought.

Blog posts are like thoughts written in a diary. Most of them are written in first person or in a monologue. When you write a post for a blog, all you need is to present your opinions, your sentiments, and your observations about anything.

However, as the Internet business keeps evolving, blogs become more involved in the corporate world. They become good venues for advertisements. In this case, some posts need to be very informative and should be valuable to Internet readers, so that advertisers can get clients for their businesses.

For instance, a blogger who has just started writing posts, say in a month, oftentimes write about his/her personal life. For a seasoned blogger most of the time, he or she publish posts that are either a paid review or article about tips about anything, depending on the niche of the blog.

Talking about niche of a blog, a niche is a particular category or topic. In other words, a good blog should focus on a product that it sells, unless a blog is not intended for revenue purposes. A blogger should write posts that are related to the concept of his/her blog or what we call niche. This way he/she can easily draw readers who have interests on a specific topic, and can eventually let readers click the advertisements on  his/her blog.

A blogger who wants to generate income through his/her blog need to be more involved with copywriting. He or she needs to have copywriting skills. This is to entice users to read your posts and turn them into customers for your advertisers.

While blogs are considered as great information of news, outside the traditional reporting like TV and newspapers, these are also interesting pieces of Literature online. So always remember that when writing posts for your blog, put yourself in the readers’ shoes. Think that you can consult blogs for both valuable information and lives of people all over the world whom cannot be accessed by the traditional media.
